尼爾：「因果債」（karmic debt）真有其事嗎？
沒有，沒有像因果債這種事——沒有你在這問題裡問的那種意思的東西存在。債（debt）是一種必須償還的東西。
而你並沒有義務要做任何事（You are not obligated to do anything.）。
然而，你仍然有一些你「想要去做」和「選擇去經驗」的事。而有些選擇取決於——你對它們的想望產生自——你以前所經驗過的事。
那是對於你稱為「因果」（karma）這件事，文字所能表達的最接近的解釋。
如果因果指的是，與生俱來想要更好、更大、演化和成長的渴望，並且視過去的事件和經驗為該渴望的一項指標的話，那麼，沒錯，因果的確存在。
但它並不要求任何事。從來沒有任何事是被要求的。你是——如你永遠一直都是—— 一個有自由選擇的生靈。

Neale: Is “karmic debt” a reality?
No, there is no such thing as karmic debt—not in the sense that you mean in this question. A debt is something that must or should be repaid. You are not obligated to do anything.
Still, there are certain things that you want to do; choose to experience. And some of these choices hinge on—the desire for them has been created by—what you have experienced before.
That is as close as words can come to this thing you call karma.
If karma is the innate desire to be better, to be bigger, to evolve and to grow, and to look at past events and experiences as a measure of that, then, yes, karma does exist.
But it does not require anything. Nothing is ever required. You are, as always you have ever been, a being of free choice.
