聽神談【你的「本能反應」如何可以被你改變？】
藉由本能地優先服侍生命本身，你們有個機會去本能地優先服侍你們的世界，以及你們已創造的生活。
你做的每件事，都必須以「優先服侍生命」為目的。也就是說，你的第一個想法───非也，在你第一個想法之前的想法(the thought before your first thought)───必須是以「生命本身」為首要考量，以及如何維護它。
這個「第一個思維之前的思維」，就是你們一般人所說的「本能」。我已把它設定在每個生靈的細胞記憶裡。它是內建(built in)的。但是，關於「本能」，這裡有個大多數人並不了解的地方：你如何「出自本能地去行動」，是件你可以改變的事。
許多人認為，一個人的「本能反應」，是某種他們不能控制的事。事實上，對較高意識的生命而言，「本能反應」並不是指「自動反應」。它是指服侍那些能夠「帶出他們最棒、最佳的本能」的反應。那反應是可以被創造及被控制的。較高意識的生命們就是那樣做的，而那也是為何他們被定義為「較高意識的生命」(beings of higher consciousness)的原因。
新靈性將帶給你們一個對「最佳本能」的新覺知和更完整的了解(a new awareness and a fuller understanding of “best instincts”)，那是生命給生命本身的禮物。

It is a great opportunity. You might say, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. You have an opportunity to pre-serve your world and the life you have created by pre-serving Life Itself.
Everything you do you must do with the purpose of pre-serving Life.
That is, your first thought—nay, the thought before your first thought—must be of Life Itself, and how to preserve it.
This Thought before First Thought is what some of you have called “instinct.” I have built it into the cellular memory of every living thing. It is built in. But here is something most people do not understand about “instinct.” How you act it out is something you can change.
Many people think that one’s “instinctual response” is something over which one has no control. In fact, “instinctual response” does not mean “automatic response,” in beings of higher conscious- ness. It means the response that those beings believe serves their best instincts. That response can be created and controlled. Beings of higher consciousness do exactly that, and that is what defines them as beings of higher consciousness.
The New Spirituality will bring you a new awareness and a fuller understanding of “best instincts,” which are gifts from Life to Life Itself. Your experience of Tomorrow’s God will be based in this gift, and will be an expression of it.
